UL Code 1049 Summary
UL Code 1049 describes a single conductor wire with extruded PVC insulation, rated for 80°C and 300V. This wire is available in 20 AWG to 16 AWG, with solid or stranded tinned or bare copper (depending on gauge size) conductors. It is compliant with UL 758 standards, designed for internal wiring of refrigerators, heating equipment, and refrigeration lighting circuits, and offers optional oil resistance at 60°C or 80°C.
