Belden 1538A 008 is a 3 pair, 28 AWG data cable with a gray PVC - Polyvinyl Chloride jacket and an SF/UTP - Screened & Foiled/Unshielded Twisted Pair shielding design. It uses 28 AWG stranded (7x36) BC - Bare Copper conductors with PP - Polypropylene insulation, plus an overall Beldfoil® tape shield and a Tinned Copper (TC) braid shield (65% coverage) with a 28 AWG (7x36) TC drainwire. Key electrical characteristics include a UL voltage rating of 300 V and a nom. characteristic impedence of 120 Ohm. It is listed as RJ-45 compatible and noted for IBM Part No. N Cable applications.
