Identify where each cable will be used

A project may include indoor wiring, exposed outdoor runs, and underground sections. List these separately when the project calls for different cable types. A description such as “outdoor cable” or “heat-resistant wire” is not enough to identify the product to quote.
Send the specified ratings, not just the temperature concern
Use the approved manufacturer and part number whenever available. Otherwise, provide the conductor material, size and count, voltage rating, insulation and jacket, and the environmental ratings required by the project.
If the plans require sunlight resistance, a wet-location rating, direct-burial suitability, or a particular temperature rating, include that requirement explicitly. Have the project's electrical professional determine the necessary ratings and installation conditions; the regional climate alone does not select the cable.
Request available product datasheets with your quote. If an alternative is proposed, have the designated reviewer compare it with the approved requirements before ordering.

Confirm where the receiver will store the shipment and follow the selected product's manufacturer instructions for storage and handling. An installation temperature rating should not be treated as a complete storage or handling instruction.
Tell us whether material will go to a staffed facility, a contractor's yard, or an outdoor project site. Include the actual entrance, receiving hours, unloading equipment, and any package limits. Request reel dimensions and weights if needed to plan handling.
If different work areas become ready at different times, identify the first required lines and ask for separate timing and freight where appropriate. Confirm any cutting, packaging, or phased delivery requests during quoting.
